Janel Curry

Dr. Janel Curry is an award-winning geographer and educator originally from Canton, Illinois. Curry holds a Ph.D. in geography from the University of Minnesota and has published extensively on the relationship between nature and society.  She has served as Provost to Gordon College and as a faculty member and dean at Calvin College.  She is the proud mother of two adult daughters who are creation-care advocates, one of whom is a science teacher and the other who is a social worker.  She likes the flat open prairies and big sky of the Midwest and Great Plains, and has traveled extensively to China, Korea, Hong Kong, New Zealand, Nicarauga, Pakistan and across North America.
